Hear from the Director

The programs offered through the School of Management are designed with student success in mind. We regularly review and update our curriculum to stay current with student and employer needs. For example, we have recently completed a new major in Management that allows students to choose from a variety of management-related specialization areas to meet their interests and career goals. We have also recently completed major revisions to our MSM and MSHRM programs to allow students more flexibility in tailoring their degrees to align with their career goals and needs.

Our top-notch faculty emphasize the 鈥渞eal world鈥� in the classroom and share a common mission to give our students the tools for success. Our faculty come from a variety of business backgrounds allowing them to bring unique insight to their students. Many of our faculty members are also engaged in top academic research with many publishing in top-tier journals in their field. This emphasis on quality research not only adds prestige to the School, but it also allows our faculty to share current research with their classes.

We strongly encourage our students to engage in an internship related to their major. Our students even have the ability to earn course credit in one of our internship courses while completing their internship. We also encourage our students to take full advantage of available extra-curricular activities that will supplement their coursework. Our School offers two student clubs that focus on management, human resource management, and career development. The Management Club and the newly formed 今日黑料 Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) provide students with opportunities to engage with the business community through field trips, guest speakers, and other activities.
